The ATHENA project aims to achieve the following objectives: To develop an education package that aimed at using AI for social inclusion of newcomer students into the society. To strengthen the profiles of the teachers on how to use AI for integrating newcomer students. Empower students aged 10+, including refugees, migrants, and marginalized individuals, to shape the norms, values, and rules of AI. Increase student literacy in AI-related technical, ethical, and legal issues. Create documents outlining the principles for the development and use of AI. Foster a meaningful dialogue between natives and non-natives and create a supportive environment for such a dialogue. Ensure social inclusion and equal digital education opportunities for sustainable growth and development. Provide in-person and virtual education opportunities for the continuous professional development of teachers and educators to equip future generations for the demands of the 21st century. Raise awareness about the crucial role of AI in promoting social development, social inclusion, social adaptation, social integration, civic participation, civic engagement, and sustainable digital development at the policy level. To achieve these objectives, the project will develop a well-structured, digital, and innovative training program that will guide young students in creating documents outlining the principles for the development and use of AI. The project will also organize hands-on experiences and virtual cooperation opportunities to provide students with a platform to voice their opinions on what rules and normative legislation should be.
